United Team Sierra Leone – U Team SL’s mission featured strategic stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and regional development collaboration across the Mano River Union and ECOWAS sub-region

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the United Team Sierra Leone (U Team SL) delegation held a productive diplomatic courtesy audience with Mr. Christian W. Jallah Sr., Resident Representative and Coordinator of the Mano River Union (MRU) Sub Office in Monrovia, Liberia.
Led by Founding Member Madam Watta Koroma, the delegation explained that the purpose of the visit was to advance U Team SL’s institutional mandate of strategic stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and regional development collaboration. The meeting provided an opportunity to share the organisation’s vision and strengthen ties with MRU leadership.

During the engagement, the Head of the U Team SL Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Kallon, together with other delegation members, expressed gratitude to Mr. Jallah for receiving them. He outlined the organisation’s Six Year Strategic Development Plan (2024–2030), which aligns with MRU regional priorities, particularly youth development, employability, civic participation, and inclusive growth.

The delegation also appealed for the exploration of apolitical partnership opportunities, including strategic guidance and support in resource mobilization efforts, as well as sustaining the United Team Sierra Leone Trust Fund.

In his remarks, Mr. Jallah commended U Team SL for its proactive initiatives aimed at empowering Sierra Leoneans and fostering regional collaboration. He reaffirmed MRU’s readiness to support U Team SL’s vision in advancing peace, unity, development, and sustainability across the Mano River Union region.
Mr. Jallah emphasized that partnerships with volunteer organization such as U Team SL are vital for strengthening regional integration and advancing collective prosperity. He further accepted the organisation’s call for collaboration, pledging his support and contribution to U Team SL’s ongoing initiatives.

As part of the engagement, the delegation presented an Award of Recognition to Mr. Christian W. Jallah Sr. on behalf of the Mano River Union, in appreciation of their outstanding contributions to regional cooperation, promoting peace and development, and fostering economic growth, social progress, and cultural advancement among member nations.

The meeting concluded with mutual appreciation and a shared commitment to deepen collaboration between U Team SL and the Mano River Union. The engagement underscored the importance of diplomacy, partnership, and collective action in advancing national and regional development goals.

The delegation’s visit underscores U Team SL’s commitment to fostering regional integration and cooperation, aligning with its motto, “We Are Stronger Together.”

The successful meeting has paved the way for future collaborations, with both parties looking forward to implementing agreed-upon strategies. U Team SL’s diplomatic efforts in Liberia demonstrate its dedication to promoting regional development and cooperation.
