United Team Sierra Leone (U Team SL) has successfully concluded a three-day national conference in Pujehun District, marking a significant milestone in its transformation from a district-based initiative to a nationally recognized development organization. The conference, held from November 7–9, 2025, brought together over 400 participants, including government representatives, traditional leaders, donor partners, youth, and women’s groups, under the theme: “Transforming From District to National: The Role of Youth in Nation Building.”
The gathering was highly productive, featuring the formal launch of U Team SL as a national non-profit organization, the unveiling of its Six-Year Strategic Development Plan (2024–2030), and the establishment of the U Team SL Development Trust Fund worth $2.7 million USD. In addition, stakeholders pledged over $300,000 USD (7.2 billion Leones) in support of the organization’s mission to promote peace, unity, education, healthcare, agriculture, and sustainable development across Sierra Leone.
This is to certify that United Team Sierra Leone was officially launched as a development organization on November 8th, 2025, at the Pujehun District Council Hall, with the aim of promoting peace, unity, development, and sustainability in Sierra Leone. The launch ceremony was attended by the membership of U Team SL and a distinguished gathering of esteemed guests, including government officials, parliament and council members, traditional leaders, stakeholders, private sector representatives, development partners, diplomats, educators, students, healthcare professionals, civil society organizations, young leaders, and change-makers.
